the Carpenters - “Beechwood 4-5789”
I’ve been on a huge Carpenters kick lately. I like this cover better than the Marvelettes original.

Nadia Oh - “Slapper (Ayye)”
This song is one of my all-time favorites. I can never get enough. I love the video quite a bit too. I’m pretty excited to see what she’ll be coming out with next. I’ve included her Twitter information below and also the direct link to this single.

Monsters, Witches, and Ghosts!
I made this! Eek! A mix I made a while back and updated a bit recently. Pretty much just pop songs with themes of monsters/other frightening things and relating them to love and such. Most of the songs are within the last decade, but a few are from the 50s/60s.

the Crystals - Please Be My Boyfriend
“Baby, baby I just wanna be your one and only girl…”
This is a pretty rare Crystals song, which is unfortunate because it’s a great song. It was the b-side to “Things Are Changing” by the Blossoms. This is a Phil Spector song, though not much seems to be known about it.

Brenda Lee - Ain’t Gonna Cry No More
“It’s not easy now to say goodbye, but all you ever did was make me cry”
Such an amazing song.

Frank Vinci - You’re Just What I’ve Been Looking For
So, I have a confession. Aside from 60’s, k-pop and robo-pop I REALLY love songs from 80’s horror movies. I’m not talking the scores or the music that was popular at that time that was thrown in. I mean songs that were written for the movie SPECIFICALLY and weren’t meant for anything else.
This song in particular is from one of my all-time favorite horror movies Sleepaway Camp. The song is genius!
